They are also playing Nanoose Bay, BC, this weekend:

³Shanneyganock² back in Nanoose Bay by popular demand.
Friday November 2 & Saturday November 3.

The last time Newfoundland¹s ³Shanneyganock² performed in Nanoose Bay,
it was mostly done as a lark. Having made friends on a show in St.
John¹s NFLD with Nanoose resident Vince Ditrich, a member of legendary
Canadian musical group ³Spirit of the West², they came all the way west
to visit his town and do a show in return, purely for fun, at his local,
ŒThe Rocking Horse Pub¹.

The show was such a barn-burning success that the Shanneys decided they
needed to come back, this time adding a second night.

Shanneyganock leader Chris Andrews says, ³Oh, we really didn¹t expect
that kind of response. You could not fit another person in that place!
And the whole town treated us royally. We love Vancouver Island.²
Rocking Horse Pub general manager Luise Willoughby agrees that it was
the best one-night the venue has ever enjoyed and had nothing but
compliments for the band. ³Such lovely gentlemen², she says.

³Shanneyganock², which translates to ŒNight Creatures¹ are a much
beloved fixture in Newfoundland, having won numerous awards for their
completely authentic Maritimes sound, engaging and welcoming manner, and
huge onstage personalities.

³We always love our trips to the west², says Andrews. ³But I think we
may have found a home away from home.²

Based on the response from their last appearance these two shows will
likely be parties of legendary stature and fans are encouraged to get
tickets as soon as possible as they will go very quickly.

Tickets available at:
The Rocking Horse Pub (250) 468 1735
$20 advance / $25 at the door
