Rawlins Cross released a CD entitled Heart * Head * Hands
and after a couple of listens I can say that I
recommend it, it ranks up with the best of their
earlier work and is a good mix of tunes and poetic
songs.

For more detail see

which has a free three song sampler
and a free MP3 download
and which says they are on tour of the Atlantic Provinces
from Jan. 13 to 22, with St. John's being the
Jan. 22 show, at The Rock House, $20, and you can
buy tickets through the web site.

David:

Good job promoting local musicians!!

I highly recommend Dave Panting's Mandolin Christmas. It's a
beautiful CD.

Not really folk (most of it), but some singer-songwriter and
alt-country, and ?

You can also buy tickets at Fred's Records or The Ship Pub
and The Ship has more tickets left than Fred's.

Are they only releasing their music through download, or might they be
looking for resellers to do so?

They have put out a CD too, which I have. Regarding
resellers maybe you should contact them (contact info
is on the website).

I'm looking forward to the show tomorrow night.

If you get the chance to approach them, ask them if they might be interested
in having someone in the American South who is a Celtic music vendor sell
theirs CDs in places where they're not known. There was no actual link to
the band on their website, so I sent a note to Groundswell Music, which I'm
guessing is their producer.

My contact information is ***@bellsouth.net

Ian McKinnon, one of the band members, is boss at Groundswell.

You can contact band member Dave Panting through his website
http://davepanting.com/ .

The show tonight was very good.
